About the Artist

Ely Benhayoun is a graffiti artist whose roots trace back to the vibrant streets of 1980s New York City. Born and raised in the cultural epicenter of the graffiti movement, Ely began painting at an early age, quickly becoming immersed in the expressive freedom and raw energy that defined the era. Over the decades, Ely has evolved his craft from traditional street graffiti to expansive wall murals, refined canvas pieces, and dynamic multimedia paintings. His work blends the immediacy of spray paint with the texture of acrylics and the depth of epoxy resin, creating layered compositions that are bold, abstract, and deeply evocative. Ely’s style—often described as graffiti abstract—bridges the grit of urban art with the sophistication of contemporary abstraction. Each piece reflects a fusion of spontaneity and precision, echoing the spirit of rebellion while inviting thoughtful engagement. Today, Ely continues to push creative boundaries from the studio to large-scale installations. He also offers commission work, bringing his unique vision and technique to custom projects for private collectors, businesses, and public spaces.
